SUMMARY

Swyx has released a new version V1 R4.5.1 for the SwyxPhones L6x as Beta Release.

You can use this version in productive environments.

Please note the current restrictions.

Please note that the firmware can only be used in conjunction with a SwyxWare 11 or newer.

INFORMATION

This version solves the following problems, among others:

  • Extended switching time between hands-free and handset speaking
  • Reboot Phenomena

At the moment we still observe the following problems with L64 and L66 with this firmware

  • Navigating with cursor keys through the call list and phonebooks via skin pmen on the SwyxPhone is currently only possible to a limited extent, navigation through the conversation list is error-free.
  • If you have accepted a call with the phone and then press a number key, the menus disappear in the display.

Unify is working intensively on troubleshooting the firmware.

The firmware is located in an extra directory ftp://ftp.swyx.de/beta/  on our FTP server. For this firmware the known Open Source Declaration applies, as you can find for example at ftp://ftp.swyx.de/fw12.

For the firmware update please proceed as follows according to your installed SwyxWare version:

Within the SwyxWare Administration open the tab "SwyxPhone Firmware Update" in the server properties and select the function "Queries". The SwyxServer will then contact the default Swyx FTP Server (ftp.swyx.com) and request the new firmware version stored there.

Afterwards you can use the listed firmware version information to check if the firmware version has been updated on your SwyxServer:

If the firmware version (V1 R4.5.1) is entered here for all phones of the L6x series, a firmware update will be suggested and performed the next time these phones log on.

The update will still be performed by the phones themselves as they contact the FTP server and download the firmware.
