We are pleased to announce that the new version Swyx Mobile 3.3.17.0 for Android is now available as General Availability (GA) in the Google Play Store.
This release includes the following improvements and enhancements:
Voicemail Transcription
Voicemails are automatically transcribed into text in Swyx version 14.x and above and are directly available within the app – enabling quick review and convenient reading of messages.
Call Quality Feedback
The app now provides transparent feedback when call quality is impacted – for example due to network issues or when switching between Wi-Fi and mobile data (seamless handover). This helps users immediately understand why a call may appear interrupted or disconnected and clarifies that the issue is not caused by the app itself.
Pause Incoming Calls
Incoming calls from the Swyx system can be paused at the touch of a button without requiring the user to log out. During this time, outgoing calls are automatically routed via GSM.
More Stable Connections
Improved connection stability ensures a smoother and more reliable user experience.
Extended Permissions
New Swyx permissions for call forwarding and avatars provide greater flexibility in usage.
Server Selection Restored
Server selection has been reintroduced and improved.
Chat Bug Fixes
Several known issues in chat functionality have been resolved.
Updated Design
Modernized visuals for lists, filters, and colors create a more consistent and user-friendly experience.
Android Call Integration & Bluetooth (Beta)
Test the native Android call integration including ringtones and Bluetooth support as a beta feature. It can be optionally activated in the settings.
