SUMMARY
Swyx 15 is now available for download in General Availability status for on-premises installations and as Compact for Data Center Edition, and is also available on SwyxON. Below, we provide an overview of the most important new features.
INFORMATION
With Swyx 15, we are releasing a version that focuses on expanding the Microsoft Teams integration, broadening the Yealink device portfolio, and delivering numerous improvements for administrators and developers.
Swyx Direct for MS Teams
With Swyx Direct for MS Teams, you can connect Microsoft Teams directly to Swyx telephony via Direct Routing functionality. Teams users can make internal calls and calls via the public telephone network, while Swyx remains the central telephony platform in the background.
The new partner-friendly and scalable integration is easy to provision and manage, making hybrid deployments with Teams and Swyx users significantly less complex.
- Supported environments: Microsoft Teams desktop app (Windows/Mac), Microsoft Teams mobile app (iOS/Android), and the Swyx Desktop Client for advanced PBX functions.
- Telephony functions: answer and make calls directly in Microsoft Teams, native Teams call control, consistent caller ID and caller name across Teams and Swyx users.
- Prerequisites: an existing, activated Swyx installation, configured Entra ID, and a suitable Microsoft app registration. Activation is performed via the Swyx Control Center and licensed through the operator.
Please note that additional Microsoft licensing may be required for use.
Yealink T7x & T8x Support
Swyx 15 extends support for Yealink desk phones and expansion modules to include the following devices:
- Yealink T87W, T85W, T77U, T74U, T73U, T74W, T73W
- EXP55 expansion keypad module
This makes a larger part of the Yealink portfolio available with consistent device management, provisioning, and functionality.
Administrator Notes
New in the Swyx Control Center: a central area for administrator notes. Administrators can document configuration details, maintenance activities, known issues, planned changes, and customer-specific information directly in the management interface. The notes are visible only to administrators and make collaboration and knowledge retention easier without requiring additional external documentation.
SwyxIt! WebExtensions & SDK
With Swyx 15, we are introducing a new web SDK for SwyxIt! Web Extensions that enables web-based applications to be integrated directly into the SwyxIt! desktop client — for example CRM, helpdesk, or custom business applications.
- Integration: as a compact widget on the home screen, as a standalone full-screen view via the navigation menu, or in static mode with a permanently visible area.
- Central configuration: Web Extensions can be configured centrally in the Swyx Control Center and assigned to users or groups.

SwyxIt! Enhancements
- Line keys: The number of visible line keys is now based on the number of lines configured for the user — SwyxIt! supports up to 256 configured line keys.
- Voicemail player: A new integrated player allows users to play, pause, and navigate through voicemails directly in the client.
- Home screen: Extended layout customization with configurable column count; areas can now span up to four columns — ideal for data-rich widgets such as Web Extensions.
Remote Connector Client Service
The new Remote Connector Client Service is a Windows service that significantly simplifies remote connectivity in Remote Desktop Services (RDS) environments. It provides a shared Swyx Remote Connector tunnel through which multiple SwyxIt! clients on the same RDS server can securely connect to a SwyxServer or SwyxON tenant.
The service is particularly suitable for organizations using SwyxIt! on Windows Remote Desktop Services, centralized virtual desktops, and for secure access to on-premises and SwyxON environments. The service is part of Swyx 15; installation and configuration instructions can be found in the README of the installation package.
Swyx Control Center — Improvements
- Emergency number warning: SCC now warns when an emergency number is about to be assigned to a user by mistake — helping to prevent misconfigurations.
- Show password: On the login page, the entered password can optionally be displayed to help avoid typing errors.
- Login throttling: Repeated failed login attempts are increasingly delayed — providing effective protection against brute-force attacks while maintaining usability for legitimate users.
Technical Improvements
These improvements are automatically active with Swyx 15 and require no additional configuration.
- Updated provider profiles: EWE, Swb, and Osnatel have been added.
- SwyxIt! requires a preinstalled Microsoft VC++ runtime: The SwyxIt! installer no longer includes the Visual C++ Redistributable, but checks during setup whether a compatible runtime is available and prompts for it if required. A suitable installation package is included in the full Swyx 15 download.
- SwyxIt! CLMGR API: New, granular configuration contexts in the PubCLMgrUserDataChangedMessage event allow integrations to reload changed configuration areas in a more targeted and efficient way. Existing implementations remain fully compatible.
- Auth0 library updated: Authentication via Auth0 Federated Login now takes place exclusively through an installed Chromium-based browser; login sessions from a regular Google Chrome browser are not carried over for technical reasons. This affects only environments using Auth0 as the identity provider.
- Microsoft SQL Server 2025: Swyx now supports SQL Server 2025 — both for new installations and for upgrades of existing environments.
- Yealink Phone Lock: For the AX83H and AX86R Wi-Fi phones, the lock function can be configured via a long press of the # key.
- Emergency numbers for Switzerland: Swyx 15 supports country-specific Swiss emergency numbers in accordance with the national numbering plan.
- General performance and stability improvements: numerous optimizations to system responsiveness, stability, resource usage, and resilience — including improvements based on customer feedback.
Discontinuations
No discontinuations in this version.
Preview: SwyxIt! for Windows 11 ARM64
Swyx 15 introduces a dedicated SwyxIt! ARM MSI installer as a preview for Windows 11 ARM. SwyxIt! continues to run on an x86/x64 basis via the built-in emulation of Windows 11 ARM; the best performance is achieved on devices with Qualcomm Snapdragon X processors.
Supported components include SwyxIt! (Modern) and Classic, the graphical script editor, Swyx Meeting, Visual Contacts, DATEV support, the Swyx Connector for Microsoft Teams, Auth0 authentication, and Jabra headsets. Not available are, among others, the fax client, TAPI Service Provider, Outlook add-in, Microsoft Office UC support, TeamViewer Collaboration plug-in, and Notes add-in.
Please note: This support is in preview status, validation on ARM hardware is limited, and the platform should not yet be used for all production scenarios. Switching from an existing x64 installation to the ARM installer requires prior uninstallation.
