Release SwyxPhone Firmware V2 R1.1.0 for L7- Desk Phones

Summary

Enreach releases the new firmware V2 R1.1.0 for the SwyxPhone L7 desk phone series. The firmware will be made available for download via FTP, manual download and the Swyx Firmware Information Service (FIS) (from Swyx 14.25 onwards) on short note.

Information

The firmware version V2 R1.1.0 for the SwyxPhone L7 series is mainly a regular software maintenance release that fixes some issues that have been reported during the last months.

Note on SwyxPhone Firmware Update 

With the release of Swyx 14.25, there are two different options for firmware updates:

• Swyx 14.25 and newer: Switch from FTP to https. Firmware management and distribution now takes place via Swyx Control Centre (SCC) and Swyx's Firmware Information Service (FIS), similar to the process for other supported manufacturers such as Ascom, Yealink, Enreach DECT, etc.
• Swyx 14.21 and older: Firmware distribution via FTP. In Swyx Administration, open the ‘SwyxPhone Firmware Update’ tab in the server properties and select the ‘Get’ function.  Hereby the SwyxServer will contact the Swyx FTP server (ftp.swyx.com) which is configured by default and query the latest firmware version.

Please note that the firmware and in particular the corresponding L7 phones are only be successively released and technically supported from Swyx 13.20 onwards.

Manual Download of SwyxPhone Firmware

In the context of a standard Swyx installation is no need for a manual download and update of the SwyxPhone firmware. Nevertheless there are some use cases where the manual update or the usage of a local FTP or Http server make sense or is mandatory.
