We are pleased to introduce the new version Swyx Mobile 4.0.2 for iOS. The update brings Swyx Mobile to the car, provides greater transparency in the call history and fixes a critical issue when answering calls.

The version is available in the Apple Store.

New features

Apple CarPlay
Swyx Mobile can now be used with CarPlay. Your customers can directly use the vehicle display to:

  • answer incoming calls and start outgoing calls
  • view the call history and contact details
  • call their voicemail using remote access

Extended call history and call details
The call history and detail view now show significantly more information, including details about call forwarding, conferences, group calls and prefixes. This makes it possible to see at a glance how a call progressed.

Technical improvements

  • Improved behaviour for unsuccessful calls: If a call fails, is busy or is rejected, the call screen remains open. The appropriate tone is played, and the call can be started again directly.
  • Support for Liquid Glass: The app supports Apple’s new system-wide design. It is visible on devices running iOS 26.

Important change: New minimum iOS version: iOS 18

Swyx Mobile 4.0.2 requires iOS 18 or later. iOS 16 and iOS 17 are no longer supported.

Please inform your customers at an early stage. Devices running iOS 16 or 17 will not receive this update. We recommend updating affected devices to iOS 18 or later before the rollout.

Bug fixes

Crashes immediately after answering a call fixed
We have fixed a serious issue that could cause calls to disconnect immediately after being answered and could sometimes result in a sign-out. Based on feedback from our beta testers, we have extended the fix to cover additional cases.

Known behaviour: In isolated cases, crashes may still occur. We are working on a solution that will be provided in one of the next maintenance releases.
