Enreach is releasing firmware version V180.87.133.4 for the Yealink AX8 series WiFi phones (AX83H, AX86R) for Swyx 14.25 and higher

Information

Required firmware to support the Yealink AX8 series starting with Swyx 14.25 and higher.

Note: This firmware version is mandatory for the latest hardware revision of the AX series, which was released in May/June 2026. Firmware V180.87.133.2, released as part of the launch of the AX series with Swyx 14.25, is not compatible with the new hardware revision. New hardware with the standard Yealink firmware installed is only partially compatible with Swyx.

V180.87.133.4 is a bug fix release that resolves the issue of poor voice quality associated with SwyxON and the use of Swyx Remote Connector for Yealink (Restricted Release of Yealink Firmware V180.87.133.3 for Yealink AX8 WiFi Phones).

In addition, the new version includes several Enreach-specific adjustments that simplify the initial setup on the Swyx platform. However, this requires that the firmware already be installed at that time.

For customers who have purchased a 2nd gen handset and wish to connect it to a Swyx 14.25 or higher, the devices can be updated manually via the web interface, via Yealink USB Connect (YUC), and for mass deployment via Swyx Control Center and a local download server.
